Young Lawyers Division Lunch & Learn: Solo & Small Firm Experience

The ISBA Young Lawyers Division hosted a free lunch and learn on Wednesday, March 28, at the Chicago Regional Office. The four panelists — Judy Conway, Stephanie Garces, Terrill Wilkins, and Natali Marquez-Ponce — gave a Q&A-style presentation covering their best tips and tricks for success at a solo practice or small firm. Topics included what to expect when making the transition from a medium or large law firm to a small or solo setting, as well as the valuable resources available to solo and small firm practitioners, such as using Fastcase for legal research and discussion groups to ask for advice from other attorneys who share your area of practice. Attendees gained valuable practice tips, had opportunities to pose questions to the panelists, and mingled at the event's conclusion.
