Land of Lincoln Legal Assistance Foundation Seeks Three Attorneys
The Land of Lincoln Legal Assistance Foundation, a non-profit organization that provides free legal services to low-income individuals and groups in civil cases, is seeking three staff attorneys at the Northern Regional Office in Springfield.
The first position includes providing civil legal services ranging from advice to representation to individuals referred by the health care partner; developing and presenting training programs to faculty doctors, nurses, residents and other healthcare professionals; creating and presenting community legal education programs; supervising an intake specialist; and drafting quarterly reports.
The second position involves representing seniors in civil cases and transaction matters in a 12-county service area, as well as collaborating with other senior service providers and community partners, travellng to senior centers, and conducting community legal education and outreach.
The third position includes representing victims in routine and complex family law litigation, including orders of protection, divorces, and custody cases.
To be considered for this position, you must be admitted to practice law in Illinois and demonstrate a commitment to the representation of low-income individuals. Prior legal services experience or clinical work experience is preferred.
The salary starts at $45,000, depending on experience.
