Robbins, Salomon & Patt Memorializes Robert J. Trizna

Robbins, Salomon & Patt, Ltd. (RSP), a full-service law firm in the Chicagoland area, is saddened by the recent passing of partner Robert J. Trizna. This outspoken people’s advocate and devoted public servant died Aug. 14 following a short, unexpected illness; he was 66.

A brilliant, passionate, and successful trial lawyer in the practice areas of business representation and labor and employment, Bob had been a partner at RSP since 2009. He was admired and respected by his fellow attorneys, clients, and opposing counsel. He was known as much for his comprehensive knowledge of the law and humorous wit as his ability to express his earnest opinions in both professional and personal settings. Clients saw him as their trusted advisor and faithfully relied on him to protect their rights and interests under some of the most stressful and challenging circumstances. He also was a wonderful mentor throughout his legal career, training young associates about the intricacy of the law and to become highly skilled practitioners.

Bob was a compassionate and generous person to those less fortunate and a strong advocate on behalf of the city of Park Ridge, spending countless time on charitable endeavors. He served as a long-term member and president on the Park Ridge Park District Board of Commissioners, trustee on the Park Ridge Library Board, and member of the Park Ridge Holiday Lights Fund. As a person with strong opinions, Bob was the author of the Park Ridge PublicWatchdog.org, where he published opinion pieces about topics largely related to local government concerns.

Bob was a graduate of the John Marshall Law School in Chicago. He received a B.A in English from the University of Notre Dame, where he was a passionate alumnus. Bob was a proud father of four sons.
