U.S. Attorney’s Office Seeks Assistant U.S. Attorney
The United States Attorney's Office for the Northern District of Illinois is accepting applications for Assistant United States Attorney (AUSA) openings in its Civil Division in Rockford, Illinois. Deadline to apply is Friday, November 12, 2021.
Applicants must be United States citizens; submit to a background investigation, credit and tax checks, and drug test; be registered for selective service, if applicable; and have a J.D. degree and active member of the bar (any U.S. jurisdiction).
Applicants must have at least two years of post-J.D. experience, including significant litigation experience, civil law experience, strong legal writing skills, and a demonstrated commitment to public service.
Assistant United States Attorneys' pay is administratively determined based, in part, on the number years of professional attorney experience. The range of basic pay is $55,756.00 to $145,836.00, plus applicable locality pay.
