Patricia Jean Dwyer Moy Passed Away January 22, 2022
Patricia Jean Dwyer Moy. A Renaissance Woman – Lawyer, Writer, Gardner, Avid Doll Collector, Seamstress, and Wonderful Mother passed away on January 22, 2022.
A 40-year resident of Hinsdale, Patricia is the beloved wife of Kenneth, loving mother of Gina Dolin, Scott Dolin, and Kenneth J. Moy. Fond grandmother of Caleb.
Before becoming a lawyer, Patricia was a writer. She wrote a short story under the pseudonym Gina Scott, which she entered in a writing contest. When she won, she split the prize money 1/3 for Scott, 1/3 for Gina, and she kept 1/3. When she was in Taiwan (for months) awaiting the adoption of Kenny, Patricia wrote the funniest letters to the family. She also drafted two mystery novels which became lost as Alzheimer's ravaged her brain.
Patricia loved her garden and most of all she loved the roses. If you came to visit her in the summer, you got a tour of her rose garden. She had the same passion for the dolls she collected. She was never so happy as when someone wanted to see her doll collection. If she made a recent acquisition, then a full tour of the dolls was needed. Patricia was also a terrific seamstress, who had a passion for fairness, but most of all she will be remember as a wonderful, generous, fun-loving mother.
