Stanley Lewis Tucker, 78, of Carthage passed away on Friday, June 25, 2021, at St. Mary's Hospital in Rochester, Minnesota.
Anna Krolikowska, the founder of Anna K Law in Northbrook who concentrates her practice in family law, was installed as president of the Illinois State Bar Association on June 17 at the Illinois Supreme Court building in Springfield.
Richard L. Thies (Dick Thies) of Urbana, IL died peacefully on April 10, 2021. He was 89 years old. Dick was born in Scotts Bluff, Nebraska on November 7, 1931 to Arnold C. and Wilma P. Thies. He was preceded in death by his parents, including his step-father, David C. Player, and by brother-in-law Craig R. Webber, sister-in- law, Alice J. Webber and brother-in- law, James L. Zaccagni. He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Marilyn Webber Thies, by his brother, Dr. David M. Player (Beth), sister, Jennifer G. Zaccagni, brother-in-law, Carl M. Webber (Betty) and five children, David C. Thies (Johanna) (Champaign, IL), Nancy Thies Marshall (Charlie) (Salem, OR), Susan Thies Harrison (Mike) (Hong Kong/Urbana, IL), John E. Thies (Terry) (Urbana, IL) and Anne Thies Peters (Jeff) (Sherwood, OR). He is also survived by 16 grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren (with one on the way), and by many wonderful cousins, nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
George F. "Bud" Taseff, 65, of Germantown Hills, IL, went to be with the Lord, after suffering a sudden heart attack, on Friday, April 2, 2021, at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana, IL.
Verne Elliott Dentino, 73, of Peoria, IL, passed away peacefully at his residence on Wednesday, March 24, 2021.
He was born on August 12, 1947, in Peoria, IL, to Michael "Amato" and Arnita (Barto) Dentino. Verne married Ann Eldridge on March 21, 1973.
Charles D. "Chuck" Mockbee III, age 74, passed away on February 23, 2021.
Chuck was born on February 6, 1947. He grew up in the Jamesburg and Henning Illinois area, graduating from the Bismarck-Henning High School. Chuck attended Northern Illinois University and then received his Juris Doctorate Degree from the John Marshall Law School, becoming a member of the Illinois Bar in 1975.
John Loyle Davis, 78, of Decatur, passed away Sunday, February 21, 2021, at Memorial Medical Center, Springfield.
B. Douglas Anderson, 78, of Springfield, died Saturday, January 30, 2021, peacefully at his home, with his loving husband by his side, after a long struggle with Parkinson’s Disease.
Under the leadership and supervision of the Senior Managing Attorney, this is a full-time position to be based in Chicago or Central Illinois. The Managing Attorney II will serve as a member of PILI’s Programs Team, with responsibility for managing PILI’s statewide efforts to expand and enhance pro bono. This is a dynamic position that requires both the ability to organize and coordinate at a high level, while also being actively engaged in administration and implementation. The ability to do regular and significant statewide travel, and limited national travel, is required.
