Age 83, passed away September 29, 2020. He was born in Chicago and longtime Joliet area attorney. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Eileen; six children, 13 great-grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.
Visitation for Brad E. Bleakney, 64, of Hawthorn Woods, will be held on Thursday, October 8, 2020 from 10:00 am until the time of the Funeral Service, 2:00 pm at the Ahlgrim Family Funeral Home, 415 S. Buesching Road, Lake Zurich, IL. Due to COVID a luncheon will not be provided, refreshments will be provided on site.

Campaign season for the 2021 Illinois State Bar Association election began October 1, for open leadership seats of third vice president (outside Cook County) and one seat each for the following Board of Governors seats: Area 1 (Circuit 18), Area 6 (Circuits 7, 8, and 9), and Area 8 (Circuits 3 and 20). There is also one Board of Governors seat in Cook County. There are 26 open seats for Cook County Assembly.

Loving uncle of many nieces and nephews.
The ISBA honored Section Council and Committee awardees for the 2019-2020 year. Although there was no in-person ceremony this year due to the COVID-19 pandemic, several recipients were presented their awards from ISBA President Dennis Orsey and ISBA Past President David Sosin at various locations throughout the state.

Judge Blanche M. Manning was born in December 1934 in Chicago, Illinois.
She received her Bachelor of Education from Chicago Teachers College in 1961, a Juris Doctor from John Marshall Law School in 1967, a Master of Arts from Roosevelt University in 1972, and a Master of Laws from the University of Virginia School of Law in 1992.
Judge Manning attended law school while working as a Chicago Public School teacher. She also taught at Malcolm X Community College and DePaul University College of Law at various points throughout her career. She held many legal positions, including working as an Assistant State's Attorney for the Cook County State's Attorney's Office, supervisory trial attorney at the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, general attorney at United Airlines, and Assistant U.S. Attorney for the Northern District of Illinois.

John M. Biesiada, age 64, of South Holland, IL, passed away suddenly, Sunday, September 13, 2020. Beloved husband for 40 years of Katherine Biesiada, nee Kubiak. Loving father of Theresa (Brion) Cooley, Mary Biesiada, Daniel Biesiada, and Angela (Mark) Uittenbogaard. Proud train-loving Grandpa of Benjamin, Christopher, Alexandra, Theodore, Julia, and Andrew. John Hubbuch, 71, a 44-year Oak Park resident, died on Sept. 9, 2020 at Loyola Hospital following surgery for a ruptured aortal valve. Born on Feb. 28, 1949, in New Albany, Indiana, he graduated valedictorian from New Albany High School in 1967, from Vanderbilt University in 1971 (first in his family to go to college) and from the University of Chicago Law School in 1974.
