She will focus her practice in insurance and financial services. Before joining Baker & Daniels, Dobecki practiced at Sidley Austin LLP in Chicago. She graduated magna cum laude from the University of Notre Dame Law School in 2008 and summa cum laude from Indiana University with a bachelor's degree in 2005. Dobecki was a summer associate at Baker & Daniels in 2006 while attending law school. As a law student, she was Executive Issue Editor of the Notre Dame Law Review. As an undergraduate student, Dobecki was a research analyst intern with the U.S.

The Illinois Supreme Court announced today that John F. McAdams received most of the votes cast by the circuit judges in the Sixteenth Judicial Circuit and is declared to be appointed to the office of associate judge. Mr. McAdams received his undergraduate degree in 1991 from Eastern Illinois University in Charleston and his Juris Doctor in 1995 from Northern Illinois University in DeKalb. Mr. McAdams is currently engaged in practice with McAdams & McAdams in Yorkville. The 16th Judicial Circuit is made up of Kane, Kendall and DeKalb counties.

Hassakis continued his push to improve the state’s juvenile justice programs by meeting with leaders of the Illinois Department of Juvenile Justice on Friday, Feb. 4, at the Thompson Center in Chicago. The meeting covered a wide-range of issues the Department faces and focused on ways ISBA can help IDJJ move forward by “laying a brick everyday,” the guiding philosophy of new IDJJ Director Arthur Bishop. Three areas were identified where IDJJ is making improvements. The first is its continued withdrawal from the Illinois Department of Corrections (IDOC), where it resided until four years ago. However, IDJJ still operates under IDOC’s administrative policies. The second is passing legislation beneficial to its core mission. This can be seen in the push to update legislation on juvenile expungements.
