John Patrick Milroy died Wednesday, April 27, 2016 at his home in Aurora. John was born July 21, 1949 in Aurora, the son of John Edward and Dorothy Hanson Milroy. John was preceded in death by his mother and father, and also his brother Mike.
John is survived by his wife Sandra, his son Daniel and daughter Amy, numerous nieces and nephews, cousins, and devoted friends.
Antonio M. Romanucci, Founding Partner and Principal at Romanucci & Blandin, LLC, was recently nominated as 3rd Vice President by the Illinois Trial Lawyers Association (ITLA). The Nominating Committee Report was submitted for approval June 10th at ITLA’S Annual Membership Meeting at Westin Chicago River North, Chicago, Illinois.
Mr. Romanucci has been an ITLA board member since 2003. As an ITLA member, their mission is to fight to ensure all citizens receive equal footing in the courtroom, even when taking on the most powerful interests. The Illinois Supreme Court has announced the assignment of Cook County Circuit Judge Mary L. Mikva to the Illinois Appellate Court for the First Judicial Circuit and the appointment of Chicago lawyer Clare J. Quish as an at-large Cook County Circuit Judge.
Supreme Court Justice Mary Jane Theis recommended to the Court that Judge Mikva be assigned to fill the Appellate Court vacancy that was created by the April 15, 2016, death of Justice Laura Liu. Judge Mikva's assignment is effective on July 15, 2016, and until further order of the Supreme Court.
"I am honored to be given this challenging opportunity to serve on the Appellate Court," Judge Mikva said. "I hope to use it to help strengthen the public's faith that our legal system is fair, efficient, evenhanded, and compassionate."

Chuhak & Tecson, P.C., is pleased to announce that Principal Eileen Sethna will lead the firm’s 28-attorney banking practice group beginning June 1. She replaces Josh Hyman, a principal who started the banking group in 2002 and who will continue with the firm.
Sethna came to Chuhak & Tecson five years ago, having already distinguished herself with a successful career as a bankruptcy attorney and a seasoned trial lawyer. She also serves as a Special Assistant Attorney General for the State of Illinois, appointed by Attorney General Lisa Madigan.
