    "Media Coverage of the Courts" to air on Judicial Perspective

Anderson"][/caption] Media Coverage of the Courts will be the topic of Judicial Perspective, a half-hour cable program presented by the Illinois Judges Association (IJA), airing on Chicago Access Network Television, Channel 21 in Chicago, on Tuesdays, May 4 and May 18 at 10:30 p.m. Appearing on the show are program moderator Michael B. Hyman, a Cook County Circuit Court judge and IJA officer; Ameet Sachdev, a legal reporter for the Chicago Tribune; Larry Yellen, investigative reporter for Fox Chicago News; and Robert J. Anderson, a judge in the 18th Judicial Circuit. The Illinois Judges Association, formed in 1971, provides continuing legal support to members of the judiciary and education to the public on matters regarding the court system.

    Judicial Intern Opportunity Program to be highlighted on Judicial Perspective

Goldberg."][/caption] The Judicial Intern Opportunity Program will be the topic of “Judicial Perspective,” a half-hour cable program presented by the Illinois Judges Association (IJA), airing on Chicago Access Network Television, Channel 21 in Chicago, on Thursday, April 15 at 9:30 p.m. For several years, the IJA has participated in the Judicial Intern Opportunity Program, which was started 10 years ago by the American Bar Association’s Section of Litigation to provide minority and financially-disadvantaged students with a unique opportunity to learn.  Appearing on the show to discuss this unique and rewarding program are (from left) Blanca Dominguez, an attorney and former law clerk; and Cook County Circuit Court Judges James P. Flannery; Jesse G. Reyes, a previous IJA president who serves as moderator; and Allen S. Goldberg. The Illinois Judges Association, formed in 1971, provides continuing legal support to members of the judiciary and education to the public on matters regarding the court system.

    "Using Mediation to Settle Disputes" to air on Judicial Perspective
    Using Mediation to Settle Disputes will be the topic of “Judicial Perspective,” a half-hour cable program presented by the Illinois Judges Association (IJA), airing on Chicago Access Network Television, Channel 21 in Chicago, on Saturday, March 13 at 11 a.m., and Monday, March 15, at 9 p.m. Appearing on the show to discuss mediation, increasingly being used as a tool to settle business and personal disputes outside of the courtroom, are three former Cook County judges who retired from the bench and now provide mediation services, including (from left) Karen Shields, James Henry, and Stephen A. Schiller.  Also pictured is Cook County Circuit Court Judge Jesse G. Reyes, a previous IJA president who serves as moderator. The Illinois Judges Association, formed in 1971, provides continuing legal support to members of the judiciary and education to the public on matters regarding the court system.

Lewis M. Nixon, a judge in the Circuit Court of Cook County and first vice president of the IJA; Hon. Jesse G. Reyes, program moderator who is a judge in the Circuit Court of Cook County; Hon. Rebecca R. Pallmeyer, a judge in the U.S. District Court, Northern District of Illinois; and Hon. Mitchell L. Hoffman, a judge in the 19th Judicial Circuit of Lake County. The Illinois Judges Association, formed in 1971, provides continuing legal support to members of the judiciary and education to the public on matters regarding the court system.
