The law firm of Holmstrom & Kennedy, P.C. is pleased to announce that Attorney Nerino J. Petro, Jr. has joined the firm as its new Chief Information Officer.
A native of Rockford, Illinois, Petro graduated from Northern Illinois University College of Law, in May 1988. He received a B.A. degree in Political Science, from NIU in May 1985. Admitted to the Illinois Bar in 1988 and the Wisconsin Bar in 2007, Petro is a member of the American, Illinois and Wisconsin State, and Winnebago County Bar Associations. He practiced as a solo attorney in Winnebago County for more than 16 years.
Recognized nationally as a speaker and author on legal technology and practice management, Petro speaks throughout the US and abroad on these topics. He is an active member and past Chair of the Illinois State Bar Association Committee on Legal Technology. He has accepted the position of Chair of the Winnebago County Bar Association Practice Management Committee for the upcoming year. He served as the first Practice Management Advisor for the State Bar of Wisconsin, and its more than 24,000 members, from 2006-2014.
