The Illinois Supreme Court has announced that Robert R. “Randy” Wilt, received the majority of the votes cast by the circuit judges in the Seventeenth Judicial Circuit and is declared to be appointed to the office of associate judge. Mr. Wilt received his undergraduate degree in 1977 from Ohio State University and his Juris Doctor in 1980 from Loyola University, Chicago. Mr. Wilt is currently engaged in practice with Sreenan & Cain, P.C. in Rockford.

The Illinois Supreme Court announced today that John F. McAdams received most of the votes cast by the circuit judges in the Sixteenth Judicial Circuit and is declared to be appointed to the office of associate judge. Mr. McAdams received his undergraduate degree in 1991 from Eastern Illinois University in Charleston and his Juris Doctor in 1995 from Northern Illinois University in DeKalb. Mr. McAdams is currently engaged in practice with McAdams & McAdams in Yorkville. The 16th Judicial Circuit is made up of Kane, Kendall and DeKalb counties.

Reagan has opened his own office after nearly 30 years with Herbolsheimer, Lannon, Henson, Duncan and Reagan, P.C. He served on the Supreme Court's Pattern Civil Jury Instructions Committee for a number of years, including time as Reporter for the Committee. He was the recipient of ISBA's Matthew Maloney Tradition of Excellence Award in 2009. Teaming with ISBA Past President Tim Eaton, he presents an annual review of Illinois Supreme Court opinions for ISBA members and helps write same-day reviews of Illinois Supreme Court civil opinions for the Illinois Lawyer Now online publication.

Former ISBA Assembly member H. Karl Huntoon, 61, a proud Moline man who valued and worked tirelessly to improve the lives of his family, his friends, his clients, and his community, passed away January 1, 2011, at Trinity Pathway Hospice, Bettendorf, Iowa, after a short battle with aggressive brain cancer. A time to celebrate Karl’s life will be held Sunday, January 9, 2011, from 2 to 6 p.m. at the Moline Public Library. The family asks that in lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the H. Karl Huntoon Memorial Fund, care of The Moline Foundation, 817 11th Avenue, Moline, IL 61265. This fund will be used to continue Karl’s efforts to continually improve the library and the community. Private family burial will be in Moline Memorial Park. Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd., Moline, is assisting the family. Karl was born December 19, 1949, in Davenport, Iowa, to Harry Kline and Margit Anderson Huntoon. During the summer of 1970, he attended summer school at Dartmouth College, where he met his wife of 38 years Andrea Dickgiesser. They were married July 29, 1972, in Woodbridge, Conn. He graduated from Moline Senior High School in 1968. He then attended the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, where he received a B.S. with honors in Economics in 1972. He then received a Juris Doctor Degree from the College of Law at the University of Illinois in 1975. He was accepted to the Illinois State Bar Association on October 15, 1975, and the Iowa State Bar Association on August 19, 1992. He was also admitted to the U.S. District Court, Central District of Illinois and the U.S. Tax Court.
