Brian Keith Zirkelbach, 51, of Carbondale, Illinois passed away on October 29, 2020. He was born on September 24, 1969 in Granite City, Illinois to James "Jim" R. and Mary V. (Lebro) Zirkelbach. In 1996, Brian graduated from Indiana University Law School with his Doctorate in Law. He was a dedicated attorney for 22 years and has established many heart-giving relationships with many clients and families. He married Robbi Spreitler on March 9, 2002.
Sidney G. Saltz, born on June 15, 1937 to Ben and Dora Saltz in Chicago, IL, died peacefully in his home surrounded by family on Friday morning October 23rd.
His love, kindness, and sense of humor will be missed and carried on by his wife Ann, three children, Elias (Sharon), Nathaniel (Megan), and Courtney (Kevin), and grandchildren Evan, Daniel, Nikolas, Lily, Whitaker, and Booker.
Donald M. Tennant was born on Oct. 2, 1931, in Troy, N.Y., to Freda (Haas) and John Tennant. At two weeks of age, the family moved to Chicago and then to Milwaukee, Wis. He married the love of his life of 67 years, Nancy C. Estaque, when they eloped to Walnut Ridge, Ark., on July 25, 1953.
With great sorrow and profound loss, we announce the passing of Sidney Eder Morrison on Tuesday, September 8, 2020. Son of Ruth and Gustave Morrison, he was born on July 9, 1934, in Chicago, Illinois. He attended Senn High School and graduated from Northwestern University and Northwestern University School of Law with Honors. He practiced law for more than 60 years, and, for most of his professional life, was the managing partner of the firms where he practiced. He was widely recognized among his colleagues as an expert in construction law, and in the areas of credit and finance. Sidney adhered to the highest standards of personal and professional integrity and valued these same qualities in others. His extraordinary legal mind, deep empathy and good judgement, matched with his keen sense of humor and affability turned clients into life-long friends. His relationships with his office colleagues went well beyond a job – he was friend and mentor, and could always be relied upon for guidance and support.
Jerome B. Klose, 97, a Chicago patent attorney and WWII veteran, died on Tuesday, Sept.1, 2020. Military funeral honors and interment were held on Monday, Sept. 14, 2020, at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood.
Cheri Nordenberg Greenlee, 71, of Rockford and Anguilla, BWI, lost her battle with cancer on October 6, 2020. She died in her home in Rockford comforted by her husband Ted G. Greenlee, daughter Sarah Greenlee, mother Betty Nordenberg, and her devoted emotional support dog Clark. Cheri was the first born of Reuel and Betty (Johnson) Nordenberg.
Donald William Kahn, age 73, of Libertyville, passed away Oct. 5, 2020. Don is survived by his wife of 48 years, Baiba; his children David (Erin), Caroline (Frank) Murray and Matthew; and his grandchildren Liam, Evan, Lyla, Jack, Everett and Jacob.
Age 83, passed away September 29, 2020. He was born in Chicago and longtime Joliet area attorney. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Eileen; six children, 13 great-grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.
Patrick James Liston of Sterling was called home on Monday, October 5, 2020 at the age of 63.
