Kelley Kronenberg, a nationwide full-service law firm, announced that attorney Christopher P. Carr has joined the firm’s Chicago office as a Partner. Mr. Carr focuses his practice on Employer Liability, Civil Liability, Subrogation and General Liability defense. Additionally, he represents employers and insurance carriers in claims arising under the Longshore and Harbor Act and the Defense Base Act (DBA).
Mr. Carr’s background includes serving as a trial attorney and appellate counsel handling Automobile, Premises Liability, Medical Malpractice and Construction Negligence cases. He is a member of the Illinois State Bar Association, the Illinois Association of Trial Defense Counsel and the Workers’ Compensation Lawyers Association. Prior to joining Kelley Kronenberg, he was with the law firm Garofalo, Schreiber, Hart & Storm, Chtd.
Mr. Carr received his undergraduate degree from the University of Michigan in 1992. He earned his juris doctor from DePaul University in 1998 where he was a Dean’s Scholar and earned Dean’s List recognition for superior academic scores. He is licensed to practice law in the state of Illinois and is admitted to the Federal Court for the Northern District of Illinois.
In the past year, Kelley Kronenberg has increased its legal staff more than 50 percent. The firm has also added several practices areas, such as bankruptcy, foreclosures, criminal law and family law. In addition to the Chicago office, the firm has a Houston location as well as nine offices in Florida.
