The Department of Agriculture adopted a new Part titled Cannabis Regulation and Tax Act. The Part establishes licensing standards for cultivators, infusers, and transporters of adult-use cannabis.
Amendments to the Part titled Standardbred, Thoroughbred and Quarter Horse Breeding and Racing Program implemented provisions of the Horse Racing Act, establishing whether a foal can be registered as Illinois foaled and conceived for purposes of racing eligibility.
“Industrial hemp” is defined as a cannabis sativa plant or any part that contains no more than 0.3 percent tetrahydrocannabinol (THC). The Department of Agriculture (DOA) has now adopted a new Part titled Industrial Hemp Act (8 Ill. Adm. Code 1200 (effective April 24, 2019)).
