The Illinois General Assembly amended the Department of Transportation Law of the Civil Administrative Code of Illinois. The amendment establishes the Zero Traffic Fatalities Task Force with the goal of developing policies that will reduce the number of traffic fatalities to zero.
This Act amends the Illinois Highway Code by allowing the Department of Transportation to sell land, easements, dedications, access rights, interest in real estate, or other property no longer needed for highway projects at fair market value. The department will determine the fair market value through an approved, qualified appraiser or a valuation waiver.

Any person, without a valid license to do so, who transports from out-of-state into Illinois 108 liters (28.53 gallons) or more of wine, 45 liters (11.88 gallons) or more of distilled spirits, or 118 liters (31.17 gallons) of beer shall be guilty of a Class 4 felony for each offense.
