ISBA Law and Leadership Institute underway at John Marshall
The ISBA Illinois Law and Leadership Institute kicked off on Tuesday at John Marshall Law School. The Institute is a pilot program for 25 students entering the 9th and 10th grades. The students will make a courthouse visit and meet with Cook County judges on Friday at the Daley Center.
The Law and Leadership Institute is a state-wide initiative undertaken in collaboration with the legal community and designed to assist minority youth in achieving academic success beyond high school and encouraging them to aspire to a career in the law. This program is being administered by the ISBA’s Standing Committee on Diversity Pipeline with the assistance of Illinois lawyers who share a similar commitment.
The ISBA will be closely monitoring this pilot program with a goal of expanding it to other locations in the state. Find out more about the program at www.isba.org/lawandleadershipprogram
