Cores and Musielak Selected for Super Lawyers List
Andrew Cores Family Law Group Managing Partner Andrew P. Cores and Partner Wendy M. Musielak have been selected for the Super Lawyers list of outstanding lawyers in Illinois for 2018.
Mr. Cores was named to the Super Lawyers list for the seventh consecutive year. Cores obtained his J.D. from Northwestern University. In 2015, he was admitted to practice before the United States Supreme Court. He concentrates his family law practice in divorce, spousal support, child support, collaborative law, the allocation of parental responsibilities, prenuptial agreements, litigation, high asset divorce, complex litigation, and mediation.
Cores is currently a fellow for the Collaborative Law Institute of Illinois and past member of their TEC Committee. He is a member of the American Bar Association, DuPage County Bar Association, Kane County Bar Association, Illinois State Bar Association, and the International Academy of Collaborative Professionals. Cores is a trained mediator and guardian ad litem.
Musielak was selected for the Super Lawyers list for the first time and had previously been named to the Rising Stars list from 2014 to 2017. Musielak obtained her J.D. from DePaul University College of Law. Her family law practice focuses on the allocation of parental responsibilities, child support, spousal support, collaborative law, mediation, prenuptial agreements, litigation, and high asset divorce and complex mediation.
Musielak was named a Leading Lawyers Network Emerging Lawyer from 2015 to 2017. She is a Fellow for the Collaborative Law Institute of Illinois. She is a member of the DuPage County Bar Association, Kane County Bar Association, Illinois State Bar Association and the International Academy of Collaborative Professionals. Musielak is currently the Third Vice President of the DuPage County Bar Association and has previously served as Chair of the Family Law Committee of the DuPage County Bar Association. She was named the DuPage County Bar Association’s Lawyer of the Year in 2013.
Super Lawyers is a nationally recognized rating service that annually selects the top attorneys in each state. Attorneys are nominated by their peers or identified from research or third-party feedback. Super Lawyers chooses its honorees based on independent research and evaluation by a peer panel. Attorneys who make the Super Lawyers list are among the top five percent of nominated attorneys in their state.
Attorneys are eligible for Rising Stars if they are age 40 or younger or have been practicing law for 10 years or less. Only 2.5 percent of nominated attorneys are chosen for the Rising Stars list each year.
