ISBA Hosts 37th Annual Ask A Lawyer Day
Nearly two dozen volunteer attorneys helped answer hundreds of questions that came in by phone and e-mail at the 37th Annual Ask A Lawyer Day on April 28 in Springfield and Chicago. Attorneys were qualified to answer questions on more than 30 areas of law, and the majority of the questions fielded were about domestic/family, personal injury, and estates. The calls helped members of the public resolve their legal issues with additional information or gave them the next steps toward resolving those issues, such as a lawyer referral.
On hand to answer calls in the Chicago office were Ava George Stewart, Barry M. Rosenbloom, John Donlevy, Michael P. McCready, Stephanie Benjamin-Coleman, Kelly Garrett-Hicks, Samuel Cannizzaro, David Wolkowitz, Shannon Heilman, Huan Cassioppi Tran, Ana Maria Downs, Leonard Brenner, Anna Lozoya, C. McCauley, Christine Carson, and John Zrnich. At the Springfield office, Angelica Wawrzynek, Donald LoBue, Michael Kopec, John Boshardy, Andrew Ricci, Thomas Carlisle, John Taylor, and Jason Adams answered calls.
John Reilly and Tilesha Northern-Jackson answered questions by email.
The ISBA would like to extend a sincere thank you to the volunteers who worked from both offices.
