Ruthe Howes-Palacios 1963-2018

Ruthe Ann Howes-Palacios, 55, of Des Plaines, died Wednesday, May 2, 2018, at her home after a long illness. She was born March 21, 1963, in Peoria. 

She graduated from Bradford High School, Illinois Central College, University of Illinois, and then earned her law degree from Northern Illinois University Law School. She was a member of Sigma Kappa Sorority.

She married Juvenal Palacios on October 3, 1998. She worked for five years at Illinois Attorney Registration & Disciplinary Commission and 19 years at the Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office.

She is survived by her husband, Juvenal; her son, Eliseo, of Des Plaines; her parents, Doug and Mary Hansen, of Walnut, and Tom Howes, of Bradford; four brothers, Bob (Carol) Howes, of Walnut, Brian (Janet) Howes, of St. Charles, Mark (Stacie) Hansen, of Peoria and Mike (Minnette) Hansen, of Ocala, Fla.; one sister, Jean (Jay) Morthland, of Rock Falls; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her grandparents.
