Faegre Baker Daniels Welcomes 3 Fall Associates to Chicago’s 2019 Class
Faegre Baker Daniels has announced that three new fall associates have joined its Chicago office.
Taylor Haran
Taylor Haran collaborates with the employment litigation team to defend employers in single-plaintiff, multiplaintiff, and class and collective claims brought by their current and former personnel. She spent significant time during law school gaining firsthand experience in the employment law space through positions in both private practice and municipal government.
During her clerkship at FaegreBD, Haran worked on issues related to non-compete agreements, arbitration clauses and litigation strategy. She interned with various other firms during college, where she gained experience writing deposition summaries, conducting document review in employment discrimination cases, and researching FMLA compliance.
Haran earned her J.D., magna cum laude, from Notre Dame Law School. She holds two bachelor's degrees from Loyola University Chicago.
Evan Johnson
Evan Johnson helps businesses ensure they have dotted all the i’s and crossed all the t’s. Corporate governance, corporate finance, and mergers and acquisitions are his key areas of focus.
Before joining FaegreBD, Johnson was a legal assistant for a global investment and advisory financial services firm in Chicago. During his time there, he advised the firm on applicable regulatory developments, compliance matters related to the Investment Company Act, and a variety of corporate governance matters.
Johnson earned his J.D., cum laude, from Loyola University Chicago School of Law, where he served as the executive editor of the Loyola University Chicago Law Journal. He received his bachelor's degree from Loyola University Chicago.
Elizabeth Wurm
Elizabeth Wurm skillfully represents clients throughout all stages of complex product liability litigation. She has drafted multiple motions for summary judgment and dozens of motions in limine in products liability and construction cases.
As a summer associate with FaegreBD, Wurm analyzed legal issues and drafted memoranda in product liability, business and construction litigation. She did additional work with products liability, including drafting jury instructions for a products liability trial and preparing summary analyses of products liability depositions.
Wurm earned her J.D., cum laude, from Northwestern University Pritzker School of Law, where she served as the notes editor of the Northwestern University Law Review. She received her bachelor's degrees from the University of Minnesota - Twin Cities.
