Freeborn Attorney Bianca Ciarroni Appointed Co-Chair of Chicago/Midwest TMA Network of Women
Freeborn & Peters LLP has announced that Bianca E. Ciarroni, an associate in the firm’s Chicago office, has been appointed co-chair of the Chicago/Midwest chapter of the Turnaround Management Association (TMA) Network of Women (NOW), beginning in January 2020.
The TMA NOW is an affinity group within the TMA, created to foster female leadership by creating the premier business development and networking group for women in the turnaround community. TMA NOW aims to provide substantive educational programming and networking opportunities to promote career growth and help women break through the glass ceiling. The TMA is a leading trade organization in the corporate restructuring, renewal, and corporate health space. Established in 1988, the TMA has almost 10,000 members in 53 chapters worldwide, including 33 chapters in North America.
As a member of Freeborn’s bankruptcy and financial restructuring practice group, Ciarroni assists the bankruptcy team in representing creditors’ committees in Chapter 11 cases involving transactional and litigation matters. Also, as a member of the firm’s Fraud and Internal Investigations practice group, she collaborates with the fraud team to represent creditors in enforcing their judgments against debtors hiding their assets to avoid paying the judgments.
In addition to the TMA, Ciarroni is actively involved with the American Bankruptcy Institute and the International Women’s Insolvency & Restructuring Confederation. In addition, she serves as an advisory board member with the Women’s Bar Foundation of Illinois. Her other industry memberships include the Illinois State Bar Association and Chicago Bar Association.
