The Illinois Air National Guard is accepting letters of interest from qualified candidates for Judge Advocates in the Air National Guard. Currently, there are three vacant military Judge Advocate positions.
David Allen Fernandes, 69, of Champaign, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, June 22, 2022, at Carle Foundation Hospital Heart & Vascular Institute, Urbana.
William A. Allison, 80, of Le Roy, Illinois, passed away June 10, 2022, at Carle BroMenn Medical Center, Normal, Illinois.
The undergraduate Mock Trial Team for the University of Illinois is hosting its 15th Annual Illinois Invitational Tournament on October 22 - 23, 2022, at the Urbana-Champaign campus. The Illinois Trial Team is in need of additional teams to judge the tournament on both Saturday (10/22) and Sunday (10/23).
The Illinois Environmental Protection Agency is accepting applications for two positions: Deputy General Counsel Air Enforcement Attorney and Technical Advisor. Both positions are located in Springfield.
Rory T. Weiler, founding partner of Weiler and Lengle P.C. in St. Charles, who concentrates his practice on family law, was installed as president of the Illinois State Bar Association (ISBA) on June 1, 2022, at the Illinois Supreme Court building in Springfield. President Weiler is the 146th president of the ISBA.

Lawyers who practice alongside candidates and judges are in a unique position to assess the professional qualities that are necessary for good judges.

Richard D. Stephens, 94, of Macomb, Illinois, passed away at 2:00 a.m. on Tuesday, April 5, 2022, at Bickford Cottage in Macomb, Illinois.
On April 27, 2022, ISBA members gathered together for the first time since 2019. Members attended the inaugural Member Appreciation & Recognition Reception at the Firefighter's Lake Club in Springfield, IL.
