On Thursday, June 6, 2024, ISBA members and their guests attended the Annual Meeting's Member & Family Appreciation Reception at the Hyatt Regency St. Louis at The Arch, 315 Chestnut Street, St. Louis, Missouri.
The Annual Meeting returned to St. Louis for the first time since 2010!

On May 8, 2024, 13 new lawyers were admitted to practice in the Second District of Illinois. The ceremony was held at the Hemmen’s Memorial Building Auditorium, 150 Dexter Court, in Elgin. Illinois Supreme Court Justice Elizabeth M. Rochford presided over the ceremony. Illinois State Bar Association Treasurer Sarah Toney spoke at the ceremony.

Nineteen new lawyers were admitted into practice on May 8, 2024, for the Fifth District of Illinois. The ceremony was held at Cedarhurst Center for the Arts Mitchell Museum, 2600 Richview Rd, in Mt. Vernon. Illinois Supreme Court Justice David K. Overstreet presided over the ceremony. Illinois State Bar Association Secretary Wesley Gozia spoke at the ceremony.

On May 16, 2024, ISBA friends and colleagues gathered at the Morton Arboretum, 4100 Illinois Route 53, in Lisle, IL, for the annual Member Appreciation and Recognition Reception. The 2023-24 ISBA Award Recipients were honored.

New attorneys were admitted to practice in Illinois on May 8, 2024, in all five judicial districts of Illinois. The Fourth Judicial District ceremony was held at the Illinois Supreme Court Building, 200 E Capitol Ave, in Springfield with Justice Lisa Holder White swearing-in candidates.
Illinois State Bar Association 3rd Vice President Perry Browder served as the speaker for the Fourth Judicial District ceremony.

On Wednesday, May 1, 2024, the Sangamon County Bar Association hosted its annual Law Day program at Maldaner’s restaurant, 222 S. 6th Street, Springfield. Illinois Supreme Court Justice David K. Overstreet served as the keynote speaker.
The 2024 Law Day theme was Voices of Democracy.

The University of Chicago and Loyola University Chicago is hosting the American Mock Trial Association National Championship on April 19-21, 2024, at The Daley Center, 50 W Washington Street. The tournament still needs Chicago area legal professionals willing to volunteer to serve as judges.
