ISBA members served as judges and jurors for the 2023 Mock Trial Invitational on March 18 - 19, 2023, at the University of Illinois - Springfield's Public Affairs Center.
The ISBA Standing Committee on Women and the Law celebrated Women’s History Month and the accomplishments of women in the legal profession over afternoon tea at the Loews Chicago Hotel on Thursday, March 9, 2023.
Judge Chantelle Porter, Circuit Court Judge, 18th Judicial Circuit for DuPage County, served as the keynote speaker.
The ISBA Standing Committee on Women & the Law will be holding two events to commemorate International Women's Day and Women's History Month.
First, a panel discussion will be held on March 8 from 3:00-4:00 pm via Zoom. Registration is free, but required. Register for the panel discussion via Zoom.
For the first time in over in over 45 years, the ISBA is holding the 2023 Annual Meeting in downtown Chicago. We are planning an engaging new format with substantive programming and great social events designed to appeal to all who attend. The headquarters hotel will be the Renaissance Chicago Downtown Hotel on the Chicago River and the opening reception will be held at the House of Blues. Mark your calendars now for Thursday to Saturday, June 8-10, 2023. More details to come, but plan to attend this special event!

On September 9, 2022, the Illinois State Bar Association presented the 4th Annual Abraham Lincoln's Legal Legacy: Lessons for Today's Lawyers - Overcoming Prejudice and Racial Discrimination in the Legal Profession.
The event was held at the Lincoln Log Cabin State Historic Site, 402 S. Lincoln Highway Rd., Lerna, IL. Co-sponsored by the Abraham Lincoln Association.
On October 6, 2022, the official kickoff to the Rural Practice Initiative Listening Tour of the Illinois State Bar Association’s Special Committee on Serving Lawyers in Rural Practices was held in Rock Falls, IL. Illinois Supreme Court Justice Lisa Holder White was the honored keynote speaker.
