The Section Council reviewed 36 bills that may affect their members’ practice area. Highlights of the most recent legislative session include:
- House Bill 1795 is a cleanup of the rewrite of the Illinois Trust Code Act.
- House Bill 3764 amends the Uniform Recognition of Acknowledgments Act to upgrade it with current practice.
- Senate Bill 730 creates the Electronic Wills and Remote Witnesses Act to regulate with remote access.
