ISBA Central Discussions
ISBA Central communities allows section members to pose questions, answer questions, and share information with fellow section members. Members of the section get free access to the section’s community. Joining any section also grants you access to the Transactional and Litigation communities. Legislation
The Section Council reviewed 14 bills that may affect their members’ practice area. Highlights of the most recent legislative session include:
- Senate Bill 116 amends the Business Corporation Act of 1983 to allow for remote meetings and makes other changes.
- Senate Bill 1730 amends the Business Corporation Act of 1983 to require that public corporations report the self-identified sexual orientation and self-identified gender identity of its directors.
- Senate Bill 1795 amends the Business Corporation Act of 1983 to prohibit an operating agreement from restricting or eliminating the duty to act fairly or the duty of care.
