ISBA Central Discussions
ISBA Central communities allows section members to pose questions, answer questions, and share information with fellow section members. Members of the section get free access to the section’s community. Joining any section also grants you access to the Transactional and Litigation communities. Legislation
The Section Council reviewed 44 bills that may affect their members’ practice area. Highlights of the most recent legislative session include:
- Senate Bill 80 is a cleanup of the adult guardianship statutes that the ISBA Elder Law Section Council has worked on for several years.
- House Bill 3849 creates the Supported Decision-Making Agreement Act to assist adults with disabilities.
- House Bill 55 amends the Guardianship Article for Disable Adults to change the definitions of “developmental disability” and “intellectual disability” and requires a clinical psychologist to prepare the report for evaluation of an intellectual disability.
