ISBA Central Discussions

ISBA Central communities allows section members to pose questions, answer questions, and share information with fellow section members. Members of the section get free access to the section’s community. Joining any section also grants you access to the Transactional and Litigation communities. Legislation

The Section Council reviewed 98 bills that may affect their members’ practice area. Highlights of the most recent legislative session include:

  • At least five different significant clean energy bills have been introduced.
  • House Bill 3113 provides that the Illinois Commerce Commission may issue an interim order to authorize or require any public utility to curtail or discontinue service and otherwise regulate the furnishing of service in specified emergency circumstances if the circumstances do not reasonably permit the holding of a hearing.
