Young Lawyers Division’s Annual Bean Bag Tournament.
New attorneys were admitted to practice in Illinois on May 10 at five separate locations across the state. The Third Judicial District ceremony was held at the Third District Appellate Courthouse, 1004 Columbus St., in Ottawa.
The ISBA Board of Governors met on May 11 at ISBA Headquarters, 424 S. 2nd St., in Springfield.

Law Day provides members of the legal and educational communities with a special opportunity to work together in promoting a greater understanding and appreciation of law and the legal system among school students. This year an event was held on May 2 at John Marshall Law School.

The ISBA Environmental Law Section hosted the 17th annual Environmental Law Conference on May 3-4, 2018, at the Chicago Regional Office. The conference featured annual updates on agency activities and priorities in Illinois presented by top representatives from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, the Illinois Environmental Protection Agency, and the Illinois Attorney General’s Office.

The ISBA Young Lawyers Division hosted a yoga and brunch event on Saturday, April 7 at the Chicago Regional Office. The hour-long yoga session was taught by a retired attorney-turned-yoga-instructor, who provided valuable tips and tricks for using exercise as a way to combat stress, depression, and anxiety. After yoga, young lawyers enjoyed brunch and mimosas.
